Strawberry Quartz (Glass)

It is glass. Melted in a factory, mostly in China, with copper stirred into the silica while it was still liquid.

The red threads are real metal. They came back out of the melt as it cooled, and nobody glued them on.

Aries, you decide fast and then defend the decision for years.

You picked this up because it was pink. That week had nothing soft in it anywhere else. That is a good enough reason, and it is why most objects get picked up.

What you cannot stand is the idea that you were fooled, so you would rather not put a loupe on it at all.

Look anyway. Round bubbles mean glass, and knowing costs you nothing.

It is still yours. It is made instead of found.

Somebody melts silica with copper, pours it, cuts it, and puts a mineral name on the label. That is the whole process.

There is a real strawberry quartz. It is paler, much scarcer, and it barely glitters. This bright glass is not it.

You could take a friend's situation apart in four sentences and be right about all of it. Ask about your own and you go vague. You can hear yourself doing it, which is the maddening part.

You have been inside this arrangement so long that there is nowhere left to stand and look at it from.

Somebody could describe it to you. Who would you actually believe?

It is glass with copper in it. That is the honest description and it takes six words.

The metal flakes are genuinely metal. They came out of the cooling melt on their own, which is the one part of this nobody staged.

Pisces, you have been on the receiving end of a lot of staging.

People hand you the managed version because they think you are delicate. You feel the managing happening, and you say nothing, because pointing at it would make the room heavy.
