It is hard-wearing. Warm water and a soft cloth and it will outlast you by a long way.

One real caution. The fibres it grew from are the asbestos kind, sealed inside quartz in a finished stone and safe in your hand, but it must never be dry-cut or sanded.

Aries, you have never once let anybody see the week after the crisis.

Somebody made a noise about how quick you were before you were ten, and quick became your whole name.

So a slow stretch reads as decline. You have walked out of good things at month four. Not because they failed, but because the noise stopped and you had nothing left to measure by.

The break in this stone is why it catches light. None of that was quick.

It was tiger's eye first. Fine blue fibres in rock, replaced by quartz over a very long time, every fibre lying the same way.

So you built a smaller version to send in first. The handful of people who ever saw the whole broken thing did not go anywhere. You still half expect the door.

The door is not going to go.

Put it in your palm and tilt it. Blue goes gold, gold goes red-brown, and none of it moves the way a single band of tiger's eye moves.

That is a stone with fault lines in it. What you are watching is light getting through a break.

Sagittarius, you were put back together at odd angles and you have been calling it character.

The repair is the reason it is rare and the reason it is worth anything. Whole, it was ordinary.

So does the part where you got back up without telling anybody. Nobody saw it, so you have never given yourself credit for it.

The repair is the valuable part. That has always been true.

It never turned off. You come out of an ordinary evening carrying other people's afternoons. When somebody asks, you say you are just tired.
