Blue Lace Agate

Hold it to the light. Soft blue and white in parallel lines, each one a thin layer of silica left by water that kept coming back.

That is the tell for a real one. If it looks electric blue, somebody dyed a pale agate and gave it this name.

Aries, you get loud because the calm voice never got you anything at home.

You were the kid who moved fast because slow got you noticed for the wrong things. Momentum was cover, and it worked.

Now the message is typed. You have read it four times and it is still sitting there. You are not scared of the words.

What face are you actually bracing for?

Strip the name away and it is banded chalcedony. Quartz laid down inside a bubble in old lava, layer on layer, until the stripes were there.

Nearly all of it comes out of one small patch of Namibian ground. That patch is finite, the price climbs every year, and dyed copies keep arriving to fill the gap.

Real blue lace is chalky and soft. Somebody made a copy louder than the original because loud sells faster, and here we are.
